How often should you post Shorts?
Updated September 28, 2026
Often enough to learn what works, never so often that every video is the same. For most new faceless channels that means one to three a day, every day, for at least a few weeks. The consistency matters more than the number.
Why frequency matters early
A new channel has no history for the algorithm to go on, so each video is a small test. More videos means more tests and a faster answer to the only question that matters early on: which topics and hooks keep people watching. Channels that post once a week take months to learn what a daily channel learns in a fortnight.
Why more is not always better
Past a point, volume starts to hurt. If ten videos a day forces every one into the same template, viewers notice and so does YouTube, whose monetization policy is written against mass-produced, repetitive content. Three genuinely different videos beat ten near-copies.
A sensible starting schedule
- Weeks 1–4: one or two a day at the same times, in one niche.
- After a month: look at which videos held viewers past the first few seconds and make more of those.
- Once something works: add a second daily slot rather than a second niche.
Keeping it going without burning out
Most channels die in month two, not because the videos were bad but because making them every day was exhausting. Batch a week of scripts at once, or automate the parts that do not need you. Our auto-posting makes and posts new videos to YouTube Shorts and TikTok on the schedule you set (up to 10 a day on the top plan), and the free plan can run one channel if you want to see how it feels.
Questions
- Is it bad to post more than once a day?
- Not on its own. Many successful Shorts channels post two or three times a day. It becomes a problem when volume makes the videos repetitive.
- What time should I post Shorts?
- Shorts are recommended for days after posting, so the exact hour matters less than on long-form. Pick times your audience is awake and keep them consistent.
