Overview
Faceless Video Creator ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered tool for generating short-form video content. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have, including a dedicated section on how we handle any Google Account and YouTube data you choose to connect.
Information We Collect
Account information: name, email address, and password (hashed) or, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile name, email, and avatar.
Content you provide: video topics, scripts, prompts, and any custom settings (voice, art style, captions, music) you choose when generating a video.
Generated content: the videos, thumbnails, scripts, and audio our service creates on your behalf, stored so you can view, download, and publish them.
Usage data: pages visited, videos generated, and basic device/browser information, used to operate and improve the service.
Notifications: only if you turn them on for a device. We keep the push address your browser gives us for that device, its two encryption keys, the kind of device ("iPhone", "Mac") and when it was last seen, plus which kinds of notification you switched off. Turning them off on that device, signing out there, or deleting your account removes it.
Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, billing is handled by our payment processor. We do not store your full card number.
Google Account and YouTube data: only if you explicitly connect your Google Account or a YouTube channel. See "Google User Data & YouTube API Services" below for the full detail Google's review process requires: exactly what we collect, why, how it's protected, how long we keep it, and how to delete it.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: operate and provide the service; generate videos on your behalf; process payments; communicate with you about your account; publish content to third-party platforms at your explicit request (see below); and improve and secure the service.
Reviewing a video you asked us about: if you report a problem, rate a video, or contact support about one, we may open that video and the settings that produced it in order to work out what went wrong. This is limited to the specific video your report is about. We do not browse your library for any other reason.
Third-Party Services
To generate and deliver your videos, we send relevant data to the following third-party service providers, each governed by their own privacy policy:
- OpenAI (script and topic generation)
- ElevenLabs and Fish Audio (AI voiceover synthesis, and voice cloning if you choose to clone your own voice)
- fal.ai (AI image and video generation)
- Pexels and web image search (stock footage and photos, searched with your video's topic and never with your personal details)
- Cloudflare R2 (video and image hosting)
- Stripe (payments; we never see or store your full card number)
- Resend (account emails such as verification and password reset)
- Render, Vercel and Turso (hosting the app, its API and its database)
- TikTok and Instagram (only if you explicitly connect an account, to publish videos on your behalf via their respective APIs)
- Your browser's push service, such as Apple's, Google's, Mozilla's or Microsoft's (only if you turn notifications on; each notification is encrypted for your device, so the push service carries it without being able to read it)
Our use of Google APIs is covered in full detail in the next section.
Google User Data & YouTube API Services
This section is intended to give you (and Google's review process) a complete, specific picture of how Faceless Video Creator handles any data it accesses through your Google Account.
Google API scopes we request
Connecting a YouTube channel is a separate, explicit step from signing in, and requests three scopes:
youtube.upload: to upload videos you generate through this service directly to your connected channel, only when you choose to publish. We never upload, modify, or delete anything without that explicit action.youtube.readonly: to identify your connected channel (name, thumbnail) and read basic public statistics (view count, subscriber count, upload count, and your most-viewed and most recent videos) for the Analytics page. No modifications are made using this scope.yt-analytics.readonly: read-only access to your channel's average view duration and click-through rate via the YouTube Analytics API, shown on your Analytics page only if you've granted this scope. Read-only; no modifications are made using this scope.
Signing in with "Continue with Google" (without connecting a channel) requests only your basic profile and email, and none of the three scopes above.
What Google data we collect
- Your Google email address and basic profile (name, avatar), only if you choose to sign in or register using "Continue with Google."
- Your YouTube channel's ID, name, and thumbnail, only after you explicitly connect a YouTube channel, so we can identify it and let you pick where to publish.
- OAuth access and refresh tokens issued by Google when you connect your channel, so we can act on your behalf between visits without asking you to sign in every time.
- Channel statistics you choose to view in-app (view count, subscriber count, upload count, plus average view duration and click-through rate if you grant it), shown back to you on your own Analytics page. We do not collect or store this beyond a short cache used to avoid refetching it on every page load.
We do not access, read, or collect any other data from your Google Account: no Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or Google data unrelated to the YouTube features described here.
Why we collect it
- To sign you in (email, name, avatar), if you use "Continue with Google."
- To connect and identify your YouTube channel, including letting you connect more than one and choose which one a given video or series publishes to.
- To upload videos you generate through this service directly to your connected channel, with the title, description, and privacy setting you specify.
- To show you your own channel's analytics on your Analytics page, if you choose to view it.
We never use this data for any other purpose: not advertising, not profiling, not training AI models, and not sharing with any party outside what's described below.
Google User Data Protection
We take the following measures to protect any Google user data we access:
- All communication with Google APIs is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
- OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) before being stored, using a server-side key never exposed to the client or any third party.
- Access to Google user data is restricted to the backend services required to provide the features described above. It is never exposed to the browser beyond what's needed to render your own connected-channel name and stats back to you.
- Google user data is never sold to third parties.
- Google user data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes, and never used to train AI models.
- We only request the specific Google API scopes necessary for the features described above, and only after you take an explicit, separate action to connect your channel (it is never bundled into ordinary sign-in).
- We regularly review and update these practices as the application evolves.
Data Retention & Deletion
OAuth tokens and connected-channel information are retained only for as long as the channel stays connected, or until they are no longer required to provide the features described above.
You can remove this access at any time, in any of these ways:
- Disconnect a channel from Settings → Connected Accounts, at any time.
- Delete your account from Settings → Danger Zone, which disconnects every connected channel automatically.
- Revoke access directly from Google, from your Google Account permissions page, independent of anything you do in our app.
When you disconnect a channel or delete your account, we revoke the associated OAuth grant with Google directly (not just stop using it on our end) and delete the stored tokens and channel information from our systems, except where we're required to retain limited records by law (for example, financial records related to a paid subscription).
Sharing of Google User Data
Faceless Video Creator does not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties, except:
- When necessary to provide the functionality you requested (calling Google's own APIs to upload a video or read your channel's stats; data flows to Google because it's Google's platform, not to any other party).
- When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- When necessary to detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, or a security incident.
Google user data is never transferred for advertising, profiling, or any other unrelated commercial purpose.
Limited Use Statement
Faceless Video Creator's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
By connecting your YouTube channel, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
Data Retention (General)
We retain your account information and generated videos for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual videos at any time, or delete your entire account and associated data (including any connected Google, TikTok, or Instagram accounts) from Settings → Danger Zone.
Analytics, Advertising Cookies & Your Choices
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and the Google Ads and TikTok pixels to measure whether our own ads work. These set cookies and send information about your visit (such as pages viewed and whether you signed up) to Google and TikTok. Under some U.S. state laws, including California's, sharing that information for advertising can count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits and which site sent them. It sets no cookies, keeps no profile of you, and never receives the private parts of a link (sign-in codes, reset links, invite codes or account numbers); it is not used for advertising.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked before any of these cookies are set. Everyone else can opt out at any time with the button below, and we treat a browser's Global Privacy Control signal as the same opt-out, automatically.
Do not sell or share my personal information
Your Rights
You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing us. You can also revoke this app's access to your Google Account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
Children's Privacy
This service is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Every account confirms at signup that its holder meets the minimum age, and we record when that confirmation was made. If you believe a child below the minimum age has created an account, email us and we will delete it and the data it holds.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
