Faceless horror videos, made for you

Horror is one of the most watched faceless formats: a calm narrator, a real haunting or unexplained case, and pictures that make you lean closer. Type a topic and get a finished video with the script, voice, visuals and captions done.

A faceless horror short is a ghost story with a paper trail. The ones that travel start on one specific, checkable oddity (a lighthouse clock left to run down, a note about capsules and a signal, tracks in fresh snow) and walk outward from it, while the narrator stays calm and the details get worse. Real places and dates do the frightening; the pictures only have to set the room: a dim corridor, a lighthouse in sleet, a farmhouse at dusk. It suits anyone who reads lists of unsolved disappearances for fun, and late-night channels where viewers binge one case after another. A haunting that was later shown to be staged is worth as much as an unexplained one, because the comments will argue about both.

What makes one of these work

  • Open on the strangest detail, not the background. The first line decides whether anyone stays.
  • Real places, real dates and real names make it land harder than anything invented.
  • Dim, desaturated pictures and a slow voice beat jump scares; let the story do the work.

Openings that work

Example first lines. Use one as it is or write your own in the same shape.

  • On November 22, 1987, the sports report on a Chicago TV station cut to a man in a Max Headroom mask, and nobody has ever said who he was.
  • On December 26, 1900, a supply ship reached the lighthouse on Eilean Mòr, and no keeper came down to the landing to meet it.
  • In August 1966, two technicians were found dead on a hill in Niterói, Brazil, wearing suits, raincoats and eye masks made of lead.

  • The Max Headroom broadcast hijacking in Chicago, 1987

Two TV stations taken over by a masked man on one night, and the culprit was never identified. Unsettling with no ghost in it at all.

  • The Flannan Isles lighthouse keepers who vanished in 1900

Three keepers gone from a remote rock, beds unmade and the clock run down. No bodies were ever found.

  • The lead masks found on Vintém Hill, Brazil, 1966

Two electronics technicians, lead eye masks and a notebook about capsules and a signal. The cause of death was never established.

  • The Villisca axe murder house in Iowa

Eight people killed in one house in June 1912, never solved. The house still stands, which gives the video its last shot.

  • The Hinterkaifeck farm and the tracks in the snow

Days before six people were killed in 1922, the farmer found footprints leading to his house and a Munich newspaper nobody there read.

  • The Yuba County Five and the car on the mountain road

Five friends left a basketball game in 1978; their car turned up on a forest road far off their route home, and one man was never found.

  • Borley Rectory, 'the most haunted house in England'

Harry Price's 1940 book made it famous, and a later inquiry accused him of faking some of it. A ghost story with a twist of its own.

  • The Enfield poltergeist, told by both sides

A north London council house, two sisters and tape recordings from 1977. The girls later admitted faking some of it, which is the second half.

  • Robert the Doll at the East Martello Museum in Key West

A real doll owned by the artist Robert Eugene Otto, on display since 1994, with a legend that people who disrespect him regret it.

Questions

Is it free?
Yes. You get 3 free videos a month, no credit card. Paid plans start at $9/month for more videos and longer lengths.
Can I cover a haunting that was later exposed as a hoax?
Yes, and say so in the video. Borley Rectory and the Enfield house both work best in two halves: what people reported at the time, then what the investigators who doubted it found.
What keeps a horror script from inventing details about a real case?
Before the voice is recorded, the finished script is read for claims that are confidently false, and only those lines are rewritten while the pictures stay as drawn. It catches confident mistakes, so a detail you plan to put in your title is still worth looking up.
Can I make a horror video about a place near where I live?
Yes, if its story is on the record: a newspaper archive, a local history society page or a court case gives the narrator something real to stand on. A rumour with no names or dates belongs in a scary story, which is fiction from the first line.
